The eight-part email series is comprised of two “tracks”: the logistical side of planning and submitting creative work, and the literary theory and analysis of short stories. (Registration includes both tracks.)

About Ashley and Beth

Ashley and Beth have collaborated to offer writers this helpful and engaging challenge. Between the two, they have dozens of published works between them and years of experience working with students and writers in a variety of classroom settings.

 
Ashley Warren

Ashley Warren

Ashley Warren, M.A. is an award-winning storyteller, producer, educator, and narrative designer. She is best known for her tabletop roleplaying games, including the critically acclaimed Uncaged Anthology series and the upcoming Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden.

Ashley is passionate about all forms of immersive literature and spent several years editing literary journals, including the University of Nevada-Reno’s Brushfire and Wildflower Magazine, a publication that highlighted women artists and writers worldwide. A former college English teacher and writing consultant, Ashley loves education and academia, and strives to offer unique learning opportunities for writers at all stages of their careers.

Through Scribemind, Ashley provides a variety of resources for writers and creatives, including educational email series such as Identifying Your Creative Heartbeat; research services; month-long writing challenges (such as this one!); mentorship programs; and more.

 
 
Beth Ball

Beth Ball

Beth Ball is a fantasy author, TTRPG game designer, literary scholar, and editor. She's a strong believer in creative processes and the importance that mindset plays in helping writers transform the seeds of a story into a fully fledged and blossoming narrative.

Her editing portfolio includes several essay collections, the intro to literature textbook for her university, and a special issue of the American Book Review about literary activism. She taught writing and literature courses for six years before making the transition to editing for indie authors and other creators. Visit Red Wolf Editorial to find out more.
